Our son, Luca Joseph Corsi, was born November 8th, 2018 in suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. We were over the moon with joy at the arrival of our first-born child. Luca was such a laidback little guy; always looking around and happy to be with everyone. Our snuggly baby boy really stole our hearts from day one, and we gave him the nickname Luca Bear. He loved to be held by his Mommy and Daddy, and each day was a new adventure with him. Some of his favorite things included his toy giraffe and going on strolls in his stroller (even of it was just around the house!) You could always tell what made him the happiest, and his smile was contagious.
Sadly, on March 4th, 2019 Luca was at his babysitter’s home when he was laid down for a nap and never woke up. The cause of death was determined to be SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). There are not accurate enough words to describe the heartbreak of losing your child. It is absolutely horrendous and no parent should have to ever go through it.
The Love Luca Trust was created in memory of our Luca to support SIDS research and families that have been affected by SIDS and SUID. We hope that one day there will be a cure for SIDS, and that no one will EVER experience the type of loss that we have.
Our son will forever be a part of us. He is loved and missed dearly every second of every day. One day we will be with our Luca Bear again, but until that day, we want to do everything in our power to help end this horrible disease/condition.
